Today’s daily tarot reading is all about meditation! Mid-week is the perfect time to center yourself and calm the mind and body. If your week got off to a fast-paced start, set aside a little time today to simply pay attention to your breath.
As you focus on your breath, you give your mind a rest from constantly churning out thoughts. Since your thoughts help create your reality, when you enter the state of no-thought or no-mind, its like you take a little pause on the wheel of life.
If you want to change anything – your life, a habit, an unhelpful pattern – start with meditation and start by clearing the mind. When you empty your mind you make room for real possibilities to emerge!
Try this simple breathing meditation called “belly-breathing”:
1) Place one hand on your abdomen and the other on your chest.
2) As you inhale, focus on bringing your breath down into your belly, so you feel the hand on your abdomen rise. The hand on your chest should not rise much at all.
3) Exhale, letting your belly deflate.
4) Practice doing this for a few minutes, just noticing how it feels to breathe this way.
