Daily Oracle Card Reading for Wednesday ~ Yoga

Today’s daily oracle card reading is all about Yoga! The message on this card says, “Your life is enhanced by yoga, stretching, and exercising.”

Use Yoga today to calm down, energize and connect with your body and your self. Yoga is an excellent aid for releasing energetic blockages in the body and developing a calm, clear and peaceful mind.

I think that keeping our energetic bodies, such as our chakras, in balance is a major challenge for many of us and Yoga can be extremely helpful with this. However, any kind of regular exercise will help with this, although Yoga is particularly effective.

Set aside some time today to do yoga, or some other form of exercise or meditation. Here is a wonderful yoga video to get you started:

I am not sure if I would really recommend learning Hatha Yoga from videos. It is better to learn from someone who is genuinely qualified to teach it. (Of course, deciding whether someone is truly qualified or not is a fairly big question in itself.) With some yogic processes small mistakes can lead to fairly big problems later on – on the purely physical level or on the energy level. I think one should be particularly careful when it comes to learning Hatha yoga or pranayama.

Of course, there are some fairly effective but simple processes that can be taught without the physical presence of a master.

    For instance: http://www.ishausa.org/ishakriya/
(This is a 15 minute meditation that can be safely learned online. It is free to learn. Even though it is simple to describe and practice, it is extremely effective.)

Great link – thanks for sharing!
I suppose nothing can replace having an actual, live yoga teacher….I agree, if you are just learning yoga, its best to be in an actual class, otherwise you don’t really know if you are doing it wrong.
