The Best 3 Card Tarot Spread….Ever!

I love a good 3 card Tarot spread and this one is quickly becoming one of my faves. You can use this Tarot spread for a general reading, for a specific question or to look into a specific area of your life (like love, career or spirituality).

*TIP for Tarot Rebels: if you can’t stand the confining nature of Tarot spreads, don’t use this spread as a spread – instead, ask your deck “what cards do I need to see?” and draw 3 cards….then, look for the “mirror card”, the “challenge” card and the “helper” card. Trust me, they’ll be there!

So make yourself a cup of tea, give your Tarot deck a shuffle and have fun with this spread.
As always, Happy Tarot Reading ♥

  1. Really love you and thanks for your wonderful support. You are always my favorite tarot reader.

  2. Hi Kate,

Love your spread and will definitely be trying out.

With time and experience, I find the smaller and simpler spreads have the most insight for me. They’re more focused and give me a lot to ponder.

    Thank you

    1. Steven, I couldn’t agree more! I noticed myself gravitating more and more to using less cards in readings – I’d rather spend more time on each card than just a bit of time on many cards. Thanks for trying out my spread 🙂

Loved this. Thank you. Your readings are so precise! This really does provide a quick preview of what’s going on.

  4. I love this 3 card Tarot spread! It’s so versatile and easy to use for any type of reading. The idea of asking “what cards do I need to see?” is brilliant for those who prefer a more immersive experience. Thanks for sharing this, Kate! It’s definitely going to be my go-to spread from now on. Thanks!

  5. This spread makes good sense, maybe more so than many others I’ve considered favorites. I’m looking forward to using it.

In addition, I enjoyed your interpretation of the cards you drew for the presentation. It is always good to hear another’s interpretation because, for me, it helps broaden my own readings. Thank you for this.

  6. Hi Katie:

I always appreciate your kindness, humility and honesty. Your knowledge and fluency with Tarot is also pretty darn wonderful. I appreciate you are not always trying to sell or upsell (upmarket) clients/students, etc.
Thx you for sharing both the “structured” and “unstructured” 3 card spread. I pulled The World as mirror and 5 swords (challenges) and King of Swords as Helper. Other than thinking World is my oyster, and I hamper myself by keeping separate or too remote from others. Although Im tarot novice I thought maybe I’m getting in my own way (by over thinking, examining, self doubt, etc trying to figure out stuff) when wisdom is already present. Can I trust the World (my view) and rely more on my innate wisdom (King of swords) and just do it! I value the intuitive approach to reading cards I learned from your 4 week course.

I appreciate the sharing. Keep pruning.
May all good things come to you Katie.
