The Moon: Mystery Unfolds (Thursday)

the moon tarot card
The Paulina Tarot

The Moon is so full of mystery, raw lust and unconscious power that at times it can be frightening to behold. It represents that part of yourself that is pure animal, wild and free.

Things are not as they seem today, but don’t waste your time trying to figure it all out. Unconscious motives are at play when it comes to relationships at work and at home and its wise to remember that people aren’t as civilized as they appear!

Be aware that what you desire and feel drawn to has to do with survival instincts more than anything else. Pay special attention to your dreams right now and write them down if you can remember them upon waking.

Question: When you look at this card, what are you drawn to first? What does that symbol mean to you? Post it in the comments below!

  1. Kate,

I’m drawn to the crab emerging. Today has been a day of coming to terms with something that’s been hidden in the cracks in-between my conscious mind. I think the crab represents the “something” starting to make its way into consciousness.

Also, I love and feel comforted by the kindness I see in the Moon’s face in this card!

    Thanks and happy Thursday!

    1. Interesting! For me, I am drawn to the dog, but I always thought it seemed more cat-like, the way its tail is curled and it seems like its hissing more than howling. I wonder what that says about me!

  2. Lots of dreams last night. Transformative dreams.

I am drawn to the running water, the stream taking all negative things with it, transformation.

  3. I was drawn to the wolf howling at the moon and felt that primal instinct. For me it means something like, stepping back to analyze my words, before “howling” instinctively 🙂

  4. I am drawn to the wolf howling…..I take it to mean that things people are saying is just noise….don’t get sucked into the drama!

  5. I am drawn to the horizon. It is calm and somehow feels very different from what is going on in the foreground.

Hi Kate, I am drawn to the moon by its sheer size and power. For me it symbolizes dealing with and acknowledging the dark and unknown within us and using that raw power to create and transform.
    Thank you.
