Oracle Card Reading for Friday ~ Heal Addictions

The message on today’s oracle card Heal Away Addictions is “It’s time to let go of behaviors that are blocking you from your heart’s desire. Ask Archangel Raphael to help you with this healing.”

An addiction refer to any behavior that is repetitive, unhelpful and feels outside of your control. This doesn’t necessarily refer to the usual addictions of drugs, food and alcohol. Do you ever fall into the pattern of negative thinking? What about self-sabotage?

Today’s oracle card asks you to take a closer look at your repetitive behaviors that hold you back. What is underlying them? How can you begin to break free from them? Sometimes becoming aware of a habit is enough to dissolve it and other times more work and support is needed. But know that overcoming a destructive habit is certainly within your power, even if it does take some time.

Five of Pentacles Tarot Card for Thursday

Today’s card is the Five of Pentacles Tarot card and it speaks to anyone who is feeling lonely, rejected, out in the cold, down on their luck or lacking abundance in their lives. We all have times where we feel like we are on the outside looking in…

Two things stand out to me in this card: there are two people out in the cold, not one, which suggests that you are not alone in your feelings and you do have others to lean on in times like this. Also, there is a glowing light emanating from the window – symbolizing warmth and shelter from the cold.

When you get through this time you will be better equipped to become a beacon or a guiding light for others in similar situations. Think of this time as a training period for becoming a guide and helper to others in the future. The Five of Pentacles Tarot card reminds you that this is not a big block – you will get past this more easily than you think.

You don’t do yourself any favors by holding onto something that you have outgrown simply because you don’t want to think you have “wasted” your time. You haven’t wasted your time – you have learned things and evolved. Wisdom is knowing when to let go and move on.

The Two of Swords Tarot card suggest that you have a decision to make, but you feel unable to choose, either because you feel you don’t have enough information yet or you have conflicted feelings.

The blindfold signifies the need to shut out outside influences (close your eyes) and go within to contemplate things. Let go of the fear of making the wrong choice and adopt the belief that you simply cannot make the wrong decision – all roads lead you to where you are meant to go.

You can make a pros and cons list if it makes you feel better, but the sooner you get out of your head and into your heart and body, the sooner you will resolve this inner conflict. The Two of Swords Tarot card implies that this conflict is of the mind – over- thinking has got you here and a different approach is needed to solve this dilemma.

Exercise: Let your “mind” drop from your head down into your chest. What decision would your heart make? Now, let your “mind” drop from your heart into your solar plexus/stomach area. What is this part of your body telling you?
