Tarot Reading for Monday ~ Fighting (Osho Zen)
Today’s Tarot card is “Fighting” (Knight of Air) from the Osho Zen Tarot deck. His message is that all outer conflict that we experience is really just our inner conflict expressing itself.
When we have inner conflict and reject any parts of ourselves, we project it outward and it manifests in the form of disliking others and having minor and major squabbles. If you notice yourself getting triggered by someone else’s behavior today, take a moment to check in with yourself to see what it is that is bothering you so much.
This Osho Zen Tarot card also suggests that often, the fighting is mostly in our heads. Our ego/mind is very defensive and easily feels threatened and can sometimes seek conflict simply to make itself feel stronger and more right. Of course, this is usually done subconsciously, so we aren’t always aware of what we are doing.
Today you will have an opportunity to catch your mind in its egoic thinking – whenever you feel a sense of fear, diminishment or the need to be right, you will know that this is the ego in action. This is most likely come up when you are interacting with someone and trying to communicate your point of view.
Remind yourself that it is safe to “take off the armor” when communicating with others. This requires being genuine about what you are feeling and what you are needing from that person. This might make you feel vulnerable, but there will be no true communication until this happens!
