Write! ~ Angel Card for Tuesday

creative writing

Archangel Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue

Bust out your pen and paper and start scrawling! Today is all about creative writing – expressing yourself with written words and getting your thoughts down on paper.

You don’t have to make a big thing of it. Just spend ten minutes today writing as much as you can. Set a timer and go to town.

You have important ideas that need to be out there. You may have sensed a calling or urge to write, but keep putting it off. The time is now – don’t delay, pick up your pen and fly at it.

Words are powerful and written words even more so. Let your mind go free and write like crazy. Wait a few weeks before reading what you wrote – you will be surprised at the great writing that emerges from you!

    Hey, Kate–

Last night I journaled about YOU and that book you recommended and about the value of completing writing projects. And then I found this.

Sounds like we’re on the same page! I don’t know what book your talking about though – god, i read so many! I am reading The War of Art right now – good stuff, you would like it 🙂

      • Jamie Morris says:

Ha! The book was “Finding Your Own North Star”! I used that idea as a writing prompt, too, with both of my writer’s groups this week.

Okay, I’ll check out “The War of Art.”

This sounds great, Kate. I went through this yesterday on my day off from work. I sat at Starbuck’s with a spiral notebook and pen and just started writing. Next thing I know I have a couple of short stories, a prose, and 2 poems. I have been feeling like doing this again today too. Just seems like the urge to write is flowing. .And there’s nothing like writing in long hand.

    Yay writing!
I have to admit that since I’ve taken up blogging My journal has been gathering dust. Virtual dust, since I have to write my journal in a Word doc. How I long sometimes to be able to write pages in long hand. But hey, let’s be grateful to be able to put words to our thoughts 🙂

    • Kate says:

Ellen, I LOVE writing long hand – typing is faster but there’s something really decadent about writing on paper with a pen. Good luck with your writing today 🙂
