  1. Hey, Kate–

    Lovely reading!

Weirdly, the card I was most relieved to see come up was the Nine of Swords–and that’s because, exactly as you said, when I’m moving forward, following my heart and guidance, I can totally slip into anxiety-ridden thinking.

To have you say it out loud sort of takes that out of the shadows and lets me know that it’s okay; it’s not just me; and I need to learn from the experience not run scared from it.

Also, I’d never heard the idea of those swords as a ladder. I love that and will keep it by my side.

Have a great week. And thanks for your generous, uplifting readings!

    1. You are most welcome! I think I read that ladder explanation in a Rachel Pollack book – but I can’t remember which one. I immediately loved it since it brings a positive solution to a depressing card.

  2. Every week I use your reading as GUIDANCE, a lighthouse to guide me. I listen to the advice, writing plans for the week according to the reading/advice.

Today I was “happiest to see” the whole spread, because this reading confirmed the path, while reminding me of what to do. It speaks to my current situation.

One of your gifts, a most important one in my mind is your ability to be detailed in your “instructions,” i.e. the cards say this, you may want to do this.

Interestingly, I am coming out of “a 9 of swords periods” into the other two. But it is a wonderful reminder of something to beware of.

Thank you Kate for sharing your amazing gift(s).

  3. Excellent reading! I think the 9 of swords is a nice to come up because it is about overthinking, which I can tend to do some times. It is so interesting because I have been going through this actually this past week with worrying about if I said something or did something wrong with a friend this past week. Interesting!

  4. ❤❤❤ it!! This reading REALLY resonates with me!! We will see this week!! ;0)
Thank you!! Have a fabulous week!!

  5. Thank You Kate. Wonderful insights and a really beautiful deck.

The Ace of Pentacles is one of my favorite cards too. I read it in an old book that centuries ago it was considered so powerful (the most powerful card in the minor arcana) that it took away the power of negative cards meaning if this card showed up thing turned out good anyway.

    Have a great weekend!

    1. Hey, Kaia!

I’ve always loved the Ace of Pents best, too. And one thing I’VE heard, is that often that is the card that the artist or creator of the deck puts their signature to in some way.

But I LOVE the idea that it’s power for good is so strong that it ameliorates the potential negativity that might be suggested by other cards in a draw.

    2. That’s interesting – I haven’t heard that before, but it makes sense. I have always felt the Ace of Pentacles was an exceptionally powerful card.
      Have a good week 🙂

  6. hi kate, will you be explaining each card in the minor arcana and there meanings? im learning tarot off you at the moment,or do you have any ebooks on the minor arcana?? xx

    1. Hi Jodie,
I don’t have any e-books on the minor arcana, unfortunately. One thing you can do is type the name of the minor arcana card you want the meaning of in the “search” box on the top right side of my website’s homepage and that will bring up all my blog posts on that particular card, so you will get a variety of interpretations. Hope that helps!

  7. Hi again Kate, quite uncanny the way this reinforces the spread I drew a little earlier on working with the guides!
I like the idea of the 9 swords representing an ascension, this really resonates with me.

Thank you and hope you have a great week.
