Let’s dive into the King of Wands – He’s the Tony Robbins of the Tarot! He’s a charismatic leader who lives to inspire others and you’ll want to worship him and go wherever he leads you…unless you totally hate that kind of thing!

At a Party…

You’ll find the King of Wands surrounded by a small crowd, who are hanging on his every word…he’s animated, conversational and has that special spark of aliveness in him (he’s a man of passion, after all). You’ll gravitate towards him (like everyone else) and be content to just be in his presence…

At work…

Career is the King of Wands main focus in life and he’s a bit of a Renaissance man, capable of succeeding in a variety of professions like CEO, business leader, inventor, film director, military or political leader, inspirational speaker, powerful public figure.

His work always aligns with his greater life passions and purpose and he’s best suited to leadership roles as he loves to motivate and direct others. He inspires loyalty and a cult like devotion from his followers and colleagues.

Working tirelessly and energetically, the King of Wands has an almost magical ability to go beyond what most people would be capable of in terms of achievement (almost like he can bend space and time!). This is due to his ability to tap into his fiery passion and align with his soul’s purpose.

In love…

He’s so focused on his greater purpose in life (running a small country, leading an army, inventing stuff, etc), that his relationships are often secondary to these achievements, but they’re still important to him.

The King of Wands is very successful in the financial realms, although this is never his focus. Instead, he’s entirely focused on living out his life’s purpose and following his passion and calling, but this always leads to being fully supported financially.

He’s not flashy and doesn’t really enjoy luxury in the same way the King of Pentacles does. Although he does enjoy power, he could care less about baubles and shiny things. He’s not a crow, after all!

He Thrives on…

Power, influence, charting new territory and breaking records! This King of Wands is always setting (and achieving) big, impossible goals. He loves inspiring others, having “followers” and whipping a crowd up into a passionate frenzy!

Dark Side of the King of Wands…

He’s capable of firing up a crowd and directing them to do something terrible and destructive in true Hitler-esque fashion (although this isn’t your typical King of Wands behaviour, the possibility does exist).

If he doesn’t feel sufficiently challenged (or worshipped), he can become cranky and restless and be very unpleasant to be around. He can also get addicted to the power that comes from being a charismatic leader and lose sight of his original intentions and life’s purpose, although this is rare in a well adjusted King.
