Last week I did a post about the Tarot Court Cards and how for a long time, they totally baffled me. I overcame this by spending quality time learning my Court Cards, but what about those cards that you’ve tried to learn, again and again and again….and they STILL baffle you?
For me, the Seven of Swords, Five of Swords and The Hierophant are the three Tarot cards that almost always leave me stumbling for words (when doing a professional reading) and just plain confused when reading for myself. I have meditated on these cards, wrote pages about them, read all my Tarot books, etc….and I still feel like I am seeing these cards for the first time when I get them.
Why is that?!
The only explanation I can come up with is that they must represent aspects of myself which I have not fully accepted. Or something along those lines.
What about YOU? What Tarot cards continue to confuse and baffle you, despite your best efforts to understand them? And why do you think that is? Let me know in the comment section below!…
Yay, it’s Friday! The Earth Princess (aka Page of Pentacles) comes to you today to remind you to study up. There are times for learning and times for expressing your own ingenuity. Today is a time for learning from someone else.
Take what you learn today, mull it over and make it work for you – put your own spin on things. Don’t just accept someone else’s word as fact, but see how this new info fits into your life and what you can gain from it.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions today. You won’t look like an idiot, don’t worry. Today is all about being the student and playing the inquisitive role. Have fun with it! 🙂
Okay – main message today is: SAY NO! Like the song from the pervert prevention videos they showed you in school – shout no like you mean it, shout no and run away! Maybe it was only in Canada that these films were shown, but you know what I mean.
The Eight of Cups is usually about walking away from something that you put a lot of work into, only to find that it doesn’t bring you the meaning and satisfaction you were seeking. But today, the meaning is a little different…
You may be asked to do something or be a part of some group or project. If it doesn’t immediately light you up say NO. You have tons of stuff going on right now and don’t have time for this crap.
Today’s Oracle card is The Secret Path: an irresistable pull down a distinct path, ley lines, mystical traditions.
You are feeling compelled to head off in a certain direction. You are pulled by a desire to discover more and explore unknown areas. Follow your bliss and curiosity and find out where it will lead!
This card has everything to do with exploring your self – such as your subconscious mind through methods like hypnosis, meditation and dreamwork.
So make time today for some fun and thrilling self exploration. Listen to a guided meditation or contemplate that bizarre dream you had last night – whatever you choose to do, know that you are walking down the “secret path”, unearthing mysteries about yourself you never knew!
The Seeker of Orbs (aka Page of Swords) shows up today to give you encouragement and confirmation as you explore your life path and play the role of spiritual seeker.
As you stay true to yourself and follow the path that calls out to you, be careful not to get distracted with every shiny bauble that catches your attention. Keep your eye on the prize!
When you receive offers, invitations and opportunities, ask yourself how they fit into your life’s purpose. Are they in alignment with your life path? Or will they be a distraction and drain on your energy? Use discernment!
Remind yourself to stay focused today, for there will always be sparkly, interesting things there to distract you 🙂
The daily Tarot card for Monday is Seven of Bows (aka Seven of Wands). The keyword on this card is Clearance and indeed today is about clearing out energies that no longer serve you – particularly the desire to compete with others.
You are entering a new phase of success in your life and part of it has to do with no longer comparing yourself to others. Competition and winning are quickly becoming extinct words in your vocabulary.
The more you realize your true uniqueness, the less desire you have to compete with others. It is only when you are doing the same thing that everyone else is doing that you feel a need to compare and contrast yourself to others – do something wildly different and there simply is no comparison!
I have a confession….for years I never really felt all that confident with the Court Cards. When they came up in my own readings, I would feel mildly annoyed and when they came up during a reading I was doing for someone else, I would inwardly curse.
Why?
Because the Court Cards are tricky! They aren’t like the other cards. They are more subtle, more secretive and less obvious than many of the Major and Minor Arcana cards.
So while I had mastered all the other cards in the Tarot, after years of study, the Court Cards remained elusive to me. And they made me doubt my ability as a Tarot Reader.
So I decided to spend some quality time with my Court Cards and learn them once and for all. I read all about the Tarot Courts in all the books I had and I tried all the exercises. By the time I was done I felt I had “mastered” the Court Cards!
The Two of Cups is Friday’s Tarot card and it brings a message of coming together, meeting the right people and enjoying peaceful relationships.
You may meet someone today who shares your interests and zest for life – not necessarily a romantic partner, but someone who is a kindred spirit nonetheless.
You may also find yourself starting a new project with a business partner or coming together with a friend for a common purpose. Good communication, agreements and positive feelings abound with this card!
If you are in a relationship you may find that today goes particularly well, as romantic feelings are enhanced at this time. If you are quarreling with your partner, try to find three things you love about your partner and focus on those for today…and notice how this changes things.
