Much has changed in the past week for many of us and sometimes it feels like things are getting shittier and shittier. But what isn’t shitty are these cards and their messages…
Let me know how you’re doing and what you’re doing to pass the time while in social isolation. Remember, we’re in this together!
Quarantined? Practising “social distancing”? Already watched all the crap on Netflix? Don’t worry! I’ve got your back.
The bright side of a mini apocalypse is having more time to devote to your Tarot studies. So don’t stress! Instead, bust out your Tarot deck and let’s get to it…
I’ve rounded up my 7 favorite Tarot exercises that will help you pass the time AND transform you into a better Tarot reader!
This one is good for Tarot beginners but more experienced Tarot readers will find some helpful tidbits, too.
Here I share my favorite techniques for learning the Tarot card meanings – techniques that will help you engage with the cards and stop relying on Tarot books or boring memorization!
A mediocre Tarot reader asks her deck questions. A sensational Tarot reader lets her deck ask her the questions! Confused yet? Then read the full article and/or watch this video…
We all know the Court Cards can be a challenge. They’re kind of boring, nothings happening in them and they all look the same. But I discovered a funny way to get to know them (and remember them!) and I think you might just like it…
Have you ever noticed that some cards in the Tarot are kind of similar? Like the Two of Cups and The Lovers? Or The Emperor and the King of Swords?
I call these similar cards sister cards and in this post I tell you what it means when a pair like this shows up in your reading and how studying the “sister cards” can help you deepen your understanding of Tarot.
This Tarot spread collection has spreads for special occasions like birthdays, Christmas and Valentines and weird stuff like a special spread for cat lovers. Plus, there’s even Tarot spreads that you will actually want to try, trust me 😉

I don’t know about you, but it’s pandemonium where I live – insane grocery store lineups, no toilet paper, etc. Everyone’s ramping up for impending closures and disaster and it feels a bit apocalyptic.
Whenever I feel overwhelmed by stuff like this, I just look at my cats – they don’t give a sh*t about anything! Not a care in the world! But if you don’t have cats, hopefully this Tarot reading (using the Spacious Tarot) will help calm your mind a bit….
Join me as I give you a glimpse of the new Awakening edition of the Ember & Aura Tarot by Jamie Richardson!
You may remember I did an unboxing video of the first edition a few months ago. This new edition has slightly different card backs, the cardstock is more matte (and nicer) and has rose gold edging, plus an extra “awakening” card.
To sum it up, this is a wonderful Tarot deck for readers of all experience levels and I’ve had many insightful readings with it. It’s a deck I’ll be using for many years to come!
For this week’s reading, I’m using my newest Tarot deck, The Spacious Tarot! I did an unboxing video for this deck earlier this week and this is such a cool deck, I know I’ll be using it for years to come.
The older and more irritable I get, the more I have come to appreciate decks that have a simple art style – you know, something that leaves you lots of room to breathe and contemplate. The Spacious Tarotexcels at doing just that!
Join me as I go through The Spacious Tarot by Carrie Mallon and Annie Ruygt – showing you each card and then doing a two card reading at the very end (intended to be relevant to whomever is drawn to watch this video!)
I can really see myself using this deck in my professional Tarot readings. The cards feel safe and non-threatening without being soft and wimpy and the deck in general just feels good – in both a physical and energetic sense.
I looked at images of this deck online and thought that looks like a great deck! but when I saw the cards in person for the first time it was a totally different experience – I was really touched by how some of the Majors were depicted. The High Priestess is breathtaking and I love how The Fool makes you feel like you are right there, about to leap off a cliff!
What I like most about this deck is how refreshing it feels – no clutter, no annoying people, just beautiful energy, animals and Tarot symbols.
I’ll be using this deck for my next weekly reading, so stay tuned!
If you know me, you know I fucking LOVE cats! And I like happy stuff. I like feeling good and I like to do Tarot readings that leave me feeling uplifted. If you also like all of the above, you will love the Playful Heart Tarot!
Join me as I go through the Playful Heart Tarot by Kitten Chops – showing you each card and then doing a one card reading at the very end (intended to be relevant to whomever is drawn to watch this video!)
This is one of those decks that I’m going to save for personal use only (well, other than doing my weekly youtube readings!). I’ve been doing lots of journaling lately and this deck has really helped me in that process.
These cards are fun, cheerful and uplifting but are also surprisingly deep. This isn’t one of those fluff decks that make you smile but have no other purpose other than looking cute – oh no! This deck will help you root out your dark places and shine a light on them.
I think my favourite thing about this deck is how it helps you cultivate playfulness and joy in your day to day life, which is what I’m using it for right now!
I’ll be using this deck for my next weekly reading, so stay tuned!
