Tarot Forecast For the Week Ahead!

For this reading I am using the Wildwood Tarot – a new deck that I got for Christmas but haven’t really used until now. If you are wondering why I haven’t posted Part 3 of my “Interactive Tarot Reading” series, like I promised, I will be posting it next Saturday. The Summer activities have distracted me and I just didn’t get it written in time!

King of Pentacles: Declare Your Place in the World! (Wednesday)

king of pentacles tarot card
Wildwood Tarot

The King of Stones (aka King of Pentacles) is represented by the mighty wolf in the Wildwood Tarot.

His message is this: declare your rightful place in the world and make your mark like you mean it.

Strong, wild and howling, this wolf isn’t trying to find his true calling as he is already howling it. You may think you still need to find yourself, but really you just need to declare yourself!

Another meaning I get is that today is a good day to be mature, strong and affirm your boundaries. Act like the leader of the pack even if your just a lone wolf.

Tarot Card for Monday ~ From Responsible to Debaucherous!

responsibility
Wildwood Tarot

Do you feel like your dragging yourself uphill with a pile of junk on your back?

The Ten of Bows (aka Ten of Wands) only appears when you have an unhealthy case of “responsibility”.

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to take care of everyone and do everything yourself. You just don’t. So stop it!

Life is not supposed to be hard work all the time. F**k that sh*t!

The glowing fire at the top of the hill suggests that there will be rewards from all your efforts and drudgery.

But you know what?

There’s an easier way to get there – you don’t need to take the path of blood, sweat and tears.

And if there isn’t an easier way, there is a more enjoyable way.

For example, if the dude in this card had a flask of green apple schnapps with him, he could stop and rest every five minutes, making the journey a little cheerier – slower, but cheerier.

So what can you do today to turn your “responsible” drudgery into a debaucherous party?

Today’s reading is a guest post by Veronica Noir, lover of Tarot, writer of erotic fiction and The Daily Tarot Girl’s evil twin.

Four of Swords ~ Tarot Card for Wednesday

four of arrows
Wildwood Tarot

Today the message is loud and clear: Take a nap! Stop trying so hard. Spend some time alone…doing nothing.

The Four of Swords (or in the Wildwood Tarot, pictured left, the Four of Arrows) brings the message that it is time to retreat and replenish yourself. If you have been a bit of a Hurry McFlurry lately, its time to go horizontal on the sofa.

True genius emerges when you let your brain go comatose for a while. The butterfly in this card represents the transformation that takes place when we give ourselves the rest we crave. Happy napping! 🙂

Seven of Wands ~ Tarot Card for Monday

Wildwood Tarot

The daily Tarot card for Monday is Seven of Bows (aka Seven of Wands). The keyword on this card is Clearance and indeed today is about clearing out energies that no longer serve you – particularly the desire to compete with others.

You are entering a new phase of success in your life and part of it has to do with no longer comparing yourself to others. Competition and winning are quickly becoming extinct words in your vocabulary.

The more you realize your true uniqueness, the less desire you have to compete with others. It is only when you are doing the same thing that everyone else is doing that you feel a need to compare and contrast yourself to others – do something wildly different and there simply is no comparison!

Six of Arrows ~ Tarot Card for Wednesday

Wildwood Tarot

Six of Arrows (aka Six of Swords) is today’s Tarot Card and the theme is Transition.

Whether you realize it or not, you are transitioning from one place to another and you are divinely guided and protected as you make this move.

The Six of Swords can represent a physical move to a new location or a change in career/job, but it most often symbolizes a shift in perception and belief. You are leaving your negative mindset behind and traversing the waters of possibility and positive thought.

You may feel somewhat apprehensive about this, which is natural. If fear comes up for you in this time of great discovery and release, call upon your angels, spirit guides, higher self, or otherworldly allies to help you comfortably integrate these changes in your life. They are always there for you and want you to succeed!

Daily Tarot Reading for Thursday ~ The Archer

Archer
Wildwood Tarot

Happy Thursday! Today’s Tarot card is an exciting one – The Archer from the Wildwood Tarot, also known as The Chariot in most decks.

The Archer is here to tell you all about the importance of focus and the need to cut out all distractions that pull you away from your main goal. Get focused today and you will be amazed at what you accomplish!

Ask yourself this: what will help me minimize distractions today?

It helps to think of “minimizing distractions” as a form of kindness to yourself. For example, telling yourself that you will refrain from checking your email while writing (something I am doing today!), since your writing life is important and worth your undivided attention.

You deserve your own undivided attention!

3 of Swords ~ Tarot Card for Wednesday

Wildwood Tarot

The Three of Swords Tarot card is the card of the day and it comes to remind us that letting go of hurt and resentment, whether from the past or present, is what will positively shift our spirits today.

The strongest message I get with this card is that when past hurt is not resolved or released, it re-manifests itself in our present lives. The players may be different, but the feelings are the same.

Any present betrayals of the heart are here to help you heal the past events as well as the current ones.

You may also get some clarity around your relationships today, as the Three of Arrows (aka Three of Swords) is all about seeing the heart of a relationship with a steady, focused gaze. Remember to treat yourself with the same kindness and gentleness that you show to others today 🙂

Ten of Stones ~ Tarot Card for Wednesday

wildwood tarot
Wildwood Tarot

The Ten of Stones (aka Ten of Pentacles) is the Tarot card I drew this morning and it speaks of the important role that your home environment plays in feeding your spirit and creative energy.

When your home is a comforting place of respite, it acts as a recharge station for your soul, leaving you feeling safe, inspired and excited about the work you do in the world.

Don’t overlook the power of your living environment! If the energy of your home is flowing nicely, this will trickle into all areas of your life. So take a few moments to evaluate your home life.

When you are at home do you feel calm, happy, safe? Or do you feel stressed, tired and depressed? Sometimes just making a few small changes (like clearing clutter) can make a world of difference!
