Goals ~ Daily Oracle Card for Thursday

self-care-cards
Self-Care Cards by Cheryl Richardson

“Goals” are the theme of today’s daily oracle card and the back of this card says “set a goal, write it down, and release the outcome. Small steps make a big difference.”

I love that message! If you want to know how to turn your dreams into reality, the first step is creating goals for yourself. The act of setting a goal and writing it down makes you see it as something that is possible. This act releases your desires out into the universe and enhances the likelihood that they will return in the form of physical reality.

However, this daily oracle card warns you not to stay stuck in the fantasy, day dreaming phase for too long. Once your goal has been written down, see if you can come up with a small action step each week that will bring you closer to your goal. This might entail creating smaller goals that help you eventually achieve your bigger goal. Here is a small worksheet to get you started:

1) My main goal is to: ________________________________________________________________

________________________________________________________________

2) My goal for this month (that will bring me closer to my main goal) is: ________________________________________________________________

________________________________________________________________

3) What I can do this week (to bring me closer to my monthly goal): ________________________________________________________________

________________________________________________________________

4) What will help me achieve my action step this week?

Ten of Swords ~ Tarot Reading for Wednesday

ten of swords tarot card
The Dream Enchantress Tarot by Marco Nizzoli

Today’s Tarot card, Ten of Swords, asks the question what happens after you have slayed all your dragons? What will be left for you to focus on?

Sometimes our “problems” become a big part of who we are and we can harbor a secret fear that life will be boring and empty once all the drama has ended. Conflict isn’t just stressful – it can also be exciting and entertaining. Drama can definitely add a certain spiciness to life!

So when you say that you “don’t want anymore drama”, are you being completely honest with yourself?

Another theme I get from this card is that we are all ONE, and we are all deeply connected to each other. So if we hurt, despise or attack someone else, we are also doing this to a part of ourselves. The dragon in this card represents the Shadow Self, the aspect of our self that we deny and repress. When we recognize this aspect in others, we seek to destroy or criticize them.

In this way, the “drama” that we create in our lives is often a way for us to engage with our shadow aspects in the hope that they will eventually be healed. This Ten of Swords tarot card suggests that instead of slaying your dragon, make friends with it and notice how it begins to transform your life!

Goddess Oracle Card for Tuesday ~ Aeracura

goddess guidance oracle cards
Goddess Guidance Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue

Today’s Goddess Oracle Card is “Aeracura: Blossoming,” and it says, “You are just getting started, so have patience with yourself and the process, and do not give up.”

The strongest message I got when I looked at this card was not to hold off on doing something just because you will not be perfect or the best at it. It is perfectly okay to be average (or even terrible) at something, especially if you are just learning it.

Do not wait to be perfect to get out there and do something – do it now! You will never be good at anything if you do not take a risk and try something outside of your comfort zone.

The other vibe I get with this Goddess Oracle Card is that you are just beginning to blossom into a new phase in your life – a freer, more creative phase. Sometimes there can be self doubt and other challenges in the beginning, but rest assured that you will build more confidence and grace over time.

The Hermit ~ Tarot Card for Monday

Intuitive Tarot
The Intuitive Tarot by Cilla Conway

The Hermit tarot card is all about taking comfort in solitude and shining the light of consciousness and inner wisdom on your life.

When you look at this card you see scary creatures lurking in the dark corners. This represents the idea that we fear what we do not understand. There are no frightening creatures in the light. When you notice your fears come up, shine the light of awareness on it. The more you know about and are aware of your fears, the less power they will hold over you.

Nearly every negative feeling we have can be traced back to fear. So when a negative feeling arises today, ask yourself what the original fear is. Get to know your fears – where did they originate from? How do they effect you in your day to day life? What would it be like if that fear disappeared? What kinds of things can you do to help dissipate this fear?

The Hermit tarot card encourages you to explore your inner life through meditation. Your meditation could take many forms, such as yoga, writing, walking, art, dance or gardening – whatever allows you to connect with that wise, ancient part of yourself.

Ocean ~ Daily Oracle Card for Sat & Sun

Earth Magic Oracle Cards by Steven Farmer
Earth Magic Oracle Cards by Steven Farmer

Today’s daily oracle card is “Ocean: Ebb and Flow” and it carries with it a message of constant change, cycles and fluctuations.

Like the tide, your life will have times of ebb, where things will seem to slow down and there may be a lack of abundance. And then times of flow, where abundance will come to you easily and naturally.

Times of flow can be exciting and exhausting, so rather than being afraid of the times of ebb, see it as an opportunity to rest and catch your breath. You will need to gather your energy to prepare for the coming period of flow and abundance.

The other meaning I get from this daily oracle card is that we can recharge our batteries by spending time by large bodies of water – oceans, lakes, rivers. I don’t think swimming pools really count. The energy that these bodies of water give off can positively change our moods, so make it a priority this weekend to got to the beach, swim in a lake or lounge by the river!

Six of Swords ~ Tarot Card Reading for Tuesday

six of swords tarot card meaning
The Intuitive Tarot by Cilla Conway

The Six of Swords tarot card is all about movement and transition. Today is all about moving on with things and making a transition to a new way of life or a new way of thinking and being.

This could be a physical transition, like travel or moving to a new location or new job, or it could symbolize a shifting of perception, finally letting go of the past and moving on with your journey through life.

You can be rest assured that this journey will be safe as you have many people, guides and angels looking out for you. If things have been challenging lately, they are about to get better.

As you make this transition, celebrate what you have learned from your past experiences that you are now leaving behind and look forward to the future and what you are going to be creating. But most importantly, the Six of Swords urges you to enjoy the journey and the present moment!

Osho Zen Tarot Card for the Weekend!

osho zen tarot card
Osho Zen Tarot

The Osho Zen Tarot card “Politics” reminds us to be ourselves this weekend and to enjoy being authentic and honest in all our dealings with others.

If you find yourself having to mask your true feelings and desires in order to fit in socially, you might notice that you feel drained, stressed or cut off from your true self.

Can you imagine what it would be like if you expressed your true feelings in public without worrying about how others see you? How would it feel to stop trying to convince others that you are a good/smart/interesting person?

This Osho Zen Tarot card has another meaning – when you embrace your “shadow self” you lose the need to hide part of yourself from others. What parts of yourself have you rejected and disowned? What aspect of yourself do you suppress and hide? The more you work towards embracing these disowned selves, the freer you are to experience your wonderful qualities. An interesting film and book on this subject that is worth checking out is The Shadow Effect.

Healing ~ Daily Tarot Reading for Wednesday

king of cups tarot card
Osho Zen Tarot

Today’s daily tarot reading is all about healing your emotions. When a feeling or emotion is suppressed or denied, it blocks your flow of energy and throws you off balance.

You can start to heal your emotions by acknowledging them when they surface and by getting various forms of bodywork such as massage, reiki or accupuncture. Hands on healing can extremely helpful in releasing tension and emotional blockages.

The real message of this daily tarot reading card is that in recognizing your true emotions and having the courage to express them is one of the most powerful and transformative things you can do.

Today, notice when you feel a strong feeling and if you are in the habit of ignoring it, try honoring it instead – invite it to stay a while. Notice what this feeling is asking for and what it needs. Does it need to expressed? Does it ask you to take a particular action? The more you make friends with your emotions, the more helpful you will find them.

Nine of Swords ~ Daily Tarot Reading for Monday

nine of swords tarot card
New Palladini Tarot

If you find yourself in a state of anxiety or worry today, the Nine of Swords is here to remind you that you have the ability to quickly climb out of any mental/emotional downward spirals.

If you are feeling any amount of discontent, examine your thoughts to find which ones are causing you stress. Since thoughts can create anxiety, they can also be used to create calm and well-being. Write down your negative thoughts and come up with positive exception thoughts to replace them. For example, if you are thinking “I will never get out of debt!”, try thinking “It is possible for me to be debt-free – in fact, I can imagine it clearly.”

If you are feeling at all regretful or guilty about a situation, start by forgiving yourself. Ask yourself what your original intention was when you did whatever it was you now regret. What can you do now to make things better? This will stop the downward spiral of negativity in a heartbeat.

The main message of Nine of Swords is that all anguish, anxiety, and sleepless nights are caused by our own thoughts and how we choose to interpret a situation. We believe our thoughts to be real, which they aren’t! Our thoughts are changeable, which means that we have the power to create calmness and joy just as much as we are able to create upset and unhappiness.

Seven of Cups ~ Daily Tarot Reading for Sat & Sun

seven of cups tarot card
New Palladini Tarot

Choices, choices, choices! This weekend is full of different opportunities and events – you just have to decide what you want to do. The Seven of Cups warns you not to waste too much time trying to decide – just go with what interests you the most.

Another message of the Seven of Cups is to avoid spreading yourself too thin. Don’t try to do everything this weekend – pick and choose the best options. This way, you will have the energy and focus to enjoy what you are doing, instead of rushing around trying to fit everything in!

On a broader scale, this may apply to your life in general as well. I notice this card can come up for people who have a very large array of interests and hobbies or several possible careers. It is true that in making certain choices, comes the loss of other choices. But it is important to keep in mind that we will always have a wide array of choices in our lives – different choices, depending on what’s going on for us, but choice will be there nonetheless. So do not think you are limiting your choices by making a decision!
