Wednesday’s Tarot card is Justiceand she comes to tell you that everything is equal, balanced and fair, even if it doesn’t seem that way right now.
Don’t concern yourself with “getting even” if someone has pissed you off or wronged you – just get on with your day, even if that feels difficult.
You may feel extra challenged today when it comes to imposing your will on others – you may either be tempted to boss someone around or you might feel as though someone else is trying to do this to you.
Focus on seeing the underlying theme of the situation. For example, if your friend is acting a bit manipulative, try to see what is going on underneath all of that – perhaps she is trying to control things because her life feels out of control. This will help you be compassionate and not take the behavior personally.
The Eight of Swords comes today to remind you of why you create “problems” in your life.
From the perspective of your Higher Self, you create problems so you can learn to heal and create change for yourself. In other words, your problems and challenges exist to help you become skilled at creating peace and joy for yourself.
Think of your “problems” as a game and get creative thinking of different ways you might shift things. The woman in this card is here by her own accord – no one put her there and no one will rescue her – it is up to her to untie herself and lift her blindfold.
Once you see your problems as something that is self created, you are free to have fun with them – this sounds a bit “out there”, I know! But looking at your life in this way can create a sense of peace and freedom.
Today’s card is Freedom, from the Life Purpose Oracle Cards. The message is “you’re free to do what you choose.” Sometimes you forget this, but today its time to remember!
You have unlimited options at your fingertips. Some days this is obvious, but other times you may feel limited or stuck. Any limitations are self imposed and only an illusion – even though they may feel very real for you.
Today is about embracing the fact that you really do create your own reality and you are free to shape your life the way you choose. Spend time today consciously manifesting – write down what you want to welcome into your life, what you are ready to release and what direction you would like to move in.
You can review your list every day or every week – but keep it in your conscious awareness. In the comments below, tell me what you want to welcome into your world right now!
My evil, Tarot reading twin Veronica is commandeering Friday’s on my blog. I am giving her her very own day! Each Friday she will deliver a reading chalk full of horrid advice and inappropriate suggestions. I strongly advise you to take everything she says with a grain of salt…
The Queen of Swordsin this Housewive’s Tarot is a terror with a pair of garden shears who goes around carelessly castrating roses – particularly those with men’s faces on them?!
This Queen doesn’t stand of any B.S. If your not up to snuff, she gives you the snip snip…and she does it with a smile.
Be this Queen today and gleefully cut back what isn’t working in your life.
Job pissing you off?…..phone in sick.
Friend who won’t shut up about her problems?…..hang up on her.
Cable company sends you a notice that they will be increasing your rates again? Phone them and cancel your cable. F**k em. Play hardball.
Think about what you can do without – for me its TV, a cell phone, junk food and newspapers – and cut those things out of your life for a while and see what happens. You aren’t depriving yourself – you’re cutting yourself free.
Tell me in the comments below…what useless crap will you be deep sixing today?
The Five of Rods is the Tarot card of the day and its all about conflict, minor battles and competitiveness. Fur is going to fly!
You may find yourself thinking “why can’t we all just get along?” or “wouldn’t it be nice if we all could live in peace?”
Indeed, it would be very nice…and boring. Did it ever occur that perhaps you create your own dramas to keep yourself entertained, even if its stressful?
The wisdom of this card is that differences of opinion and wills are inevitable, but you don’t need to go around engaging in this kind of crap 24-7.
Pick your battles wisely, but then engage in them fully. Its okay to enjoy an argument every now and then. Just don’t take it all too seriously.
Don’t give up your voice! Today’s card is the Nine of Swords from the Fairytale Tarot and The Little Mermaid is the story associated with it.
The Nine of Swords often represents regret and The Little Mermaid is about trading your voice for something (in this case, legs). If you hold back and don’t speak your truth because you think keeping silent will get you something you want, you will regret it.
No one can silence you – but you can willingly silence yourself. Don’t do it! At least, not today, anyway. Sometimes silence is best, but if it makes you feel powerless, then speak up loud and proud.
Your silence won’t have the placating effect you are hoping for anyway, so might as well speak your truth!
Today’s card is “counseling”and the message is “you heal with kind words, wise advice and an empathetic ear.”
Someone will ask for your advice today. And here’s the catch….don’t give it! Just listen and be compassionate, but see if you can refrain from telling them what to do.
People say they want your advice, but really they don’t. They want to be heard and understood and then make up their own minds about how to proceed.
Avoid falling into the advice-giver role and you will avoid the annoyance of having your advice ignored! Plus, you will actually be more helpful to your friend in the long run.
There is a difference between contemplation and procrastination. So are you processing things or are you stuck? The Seven of Cups Tarot card suggest you might be stuck!
So many choices, so many different paths you can take, but don’t spend forever in that glazed over, spaced out state of overwhelm and indecision. Take action!
You keep thinking that a great idea will smack you over the head eventually….but you might be waiting a while. The sooner to take some kind of action, the better. Then you will have more ideas, insights and solutions than you will know what to do with.
Last week I told you all about Interactive Tarot Reading – what it is, how I love it and how I think its a total game changer. If you missed that post, click here to read it.
This week, I want to fess up and tell you exactly why I am into this style of reading so much…
5 Reasons to Start Doing Interactive Tarot Reading TODAY:
1. Its easy!
Reading in this style is actually much more relaxing than the more mainstream/traditional way of reading Tarot cards, where the reader is doing most of the talking and interpreting (like a performer) and the client sits back and observes (like an audience).
Stop thinking Performance and start thinking Collaboration. Performance style reading lets your client off the hook too easily, whereas collaborative reading rightly assumes your client has valuable insights into their own life.
If you have ever felt drained after giving a reading, try incorporating some interactive techniques into your reading. Reading in this style actually gives you energy!
2. You can shed the heavy cloak of “responsibility”
In a typical reading, the client asks questions and the reader answers them. If you are the reader, this puts a lot of pressure on you. What if you say the wrong thing and your client gets upset? What if your wrong? What if answering their question is actually unethical? Ugh! All this crappola can give you a headache!
When you read Tarot in an interactive style, you eliminate the burden of responsibility. Of course you are still responsible for asking the right questions, steering the reading in a positive direction and helping the client feel safe, understood, empowered, etc. But you no longer have that pressure of coming up with accurate predictions, impressing your client and all that 1990’s Miss Cleo infomercial claptrap.
3. It’s fun!
Interactive Tarot reading is 1000 times more fun than what I now call old-school Tarot reading. Traditional Tarot reading can be hard, like working as a chambermaid in a Mexican resort with no air conditioning. Interactive Tarot reading is like being a guest at the hotel and playing tennis or ping pong while hot bartenders serve you drinks and pat your brow with ice cold towels.
Maybe that’s a weird analogy, but when there’s an equal sharing of effort as you interact with your client (like in tennis), things are kept fun and energizing.
4. Your client will love it!!!!
Interactive Tarot reading is empowering. It helps your client discover their own blocks and create their own solutions. Yes, there will be some people who say shit like “But your the Tarot reader, aren’t you supposed to tell me what to do?” This can be avoided by explaining how you do your readings before the reading starts.
Best of all, your client gets to talk about themselves waaaaay more than in an “old school Tarot reading”. And I find that most people love to talk about themselves!
5. Interactive Tarot readings are POWERFUL!
They get to the root of an issue and because the client is so involved in the process, the reading is that much more memorable and transformational.
While many people claim that they just want to be told what to do, most will not actually take your advice. Just look at how many people start diets and then fail. Being given a set of instructions hardly ever leads to transformation. As Tarot readers, we must go deeper.
But does Interactive Tarot Reading really fly with people?
Don’t they get pissed that you aren’t doing all the work and telling them their future? Next week, in part three of this series, I will share my personal experience with trying out this reading method….. juicy deets coming your way! Get ready.
Today’s card the Two of Pentacles is all about following your heart, treading carefully and balancing your life.
You may find yourself juggling more than one responsibility today and it can be tempting to jump into your head and try to figure things out and organize yourself. But don’t do that!
Instead, let your heart and intuition guide you so you can remain in the zone throughout the day. Don’t think about your next step – feel it and then just do it. Be in your body, not your head. Do whatever it takes to get there – get a massage, do some yoga, eat a good meal or do some meditation.
Are you balancing two important things at once? Do you feel more of a need to ground and center yourself? Feel free to share in the comments below!
