If you have been feeling uninspired lately, ask yourself how can I nurture and care for my creative self?  When you totally ignore your creative, imaginative side, it will shrivel into oblivion.

In the book The Artist’s Way, Julia Cameron talks about scheduling an artist’s date each week, where you do something to inspire creativity, like visit a museum or go see an artsy fartsy film. Personally, swinging on the swings at the playground down the street works for me!

But if you treat your creativity as a regular part of your life and not just something you can engage with when everything else is done, you will never find yourself creatively blocked again 🙂

The Eight of Swords has appeared because you may find yourself in the thick of self sabotage today. Self defeating thoughts may threaten to overwhelm you, keeping you blind to reality. Remember that things are not really how they seem when you are in a negative mindset.

If you find yourself feeling helpless, down in the dumps or even just confused, your task today is to pinpoint the negative thought (or thoughts) causing you stress and find a way to turn those thoughts around.

Those negative thoughts don’t need to exist – they are no more a reflection of reality than your positive thoughts. Take the time to question your thoughts: are they really true? How might they be untrue? How might the opposite of those miserable thoughts be true?

As you unravel your limiting thoughts and beliefs, the veil will lift and you will become truly free.

It could be a friend who is always moaning about money problems – that friend who’s always whining “but I can’t afford it.” Or maybe you do this? If so, stop it now!

If you want to live an abundant life, surround yourself by people and things that make you feel abundant and question your own core beliefs about money. Limit time spent with downer friends – otherwise they can suck your energy.

Alternatively, you can tell your friend about a good law of attraction book or even directly question her negative beliefs about money, as long as it doesn’t feel too preachy or aggressive. The Three of Swords is today’s Tarot card and although this is usually not everyone’s favorite card, this version is somewhat funny with a sulky cat on it! Your a bit pissed off about something today – that’s okay, just don’t let it run your day.

Normally this card represents heartache and feeling betrayed by someone (usually a lover), but I feel like it doesn’t really indicate anything that serious.

You may feel put out about something someone said or did. It was a minor thing, but it bugged you. Part of you kind of wants to wallow in your resentment and another part of you says its not worth it! Focus on something more positive.

This is one of those things that you will forget about in a couple of days, so indeed, focus on something more positive!
