Join me as I unbox Amira’s Love Oracle, a deck of cards designed specifically for love and relationship readings.
Warning! My cats were very drawn to these cards and decided to display themselves prominently in this video!
UPDATE: this deck is currently unavailable
It’s fun to have a deck that’s geared specifically toward relationship readings and I like how bright, bold and straightforward this deck is.
I must say this deck is fun to read with – if you watch the video above, you’ll see me do a mini test-drive reading 🙂 I think this deck would be both useful for client and friend readings as well as personal readings and I can’t wait to add this one into the rotation of decks I use!
The Power of 8 is 44 card Chakra Oracle deck created by Trina Amiot and Michelle Gill. Join me as I unbox this deck and look through these cards for the very first time…
These cards have a great feel to them – good quality, matte card stock with rose gold edging and pretty pink card backs. They are easy to handle and shuffle and the box is also nice – it has a magnetic flap which feels good to repeatedly open and close (I get my thrills where I can!) I am familiar with the chakra system, but if you aren’t, there’s a handy little chart right inside the box.
The companion book is in colour and gives additional info on each card and gives helpful ideas on how to incorporate the wisdom of each card into your daily life.
This deck reads surprisingly well! I say “surprisingly” because I have a number of affirmation decks and they usually work best for doing one card draws and journalling, as opposed to doing a multiple card reading.
I also noticed that many of the cards in this deck are different from each other – there is a mix of photographic images of crystal layouts, hand drawn images and images created with other mediums. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like that kind of variety in a reading, but it totally worked.
I can see myself using this deck in many different settings – for myself, for others, for chakra readings, journalling, the list goes on! It’s a high-vibe, fun, useful and versatile deck that is sure to help you on your spiritual journey ♥
The Emotion Energy Oracle is a unique deck of cards, designed to stimulate intuition, feeling and contemplation. I find they work nicely as a one card, daily draw first thing in the morning or in the evening after a long day of bullshit.
Card stock is good quality – thick, sturdy and with a nice matte finish. Cards come in a nice box and the guidebook is available online.
I highly recommend getting a card stand to go with your deck – I didn’t think I’d use mine but I do everyday. It’s really nice to have a way to properly prop up a card on my desk or altar and my cats are 80% less likely to knock it over this way. Tarot stands can be purchased here:https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/837057888/engraved-single-tarot-stand-oracle-stand
I feel like these cards would make a nice gift, whether for yourself or for an intuitively minded friend. You don’t need to be a card reading expert to work with these either – they can be read right out of the box.
Here are some questions that work well with these cards:
Join me as I unbox the Zodiac Goddess Power Deck by Kathy Crabbe!
The Zodiac Goddess Power Deck is a new oracle deck by Kathy Crabbe, creator of the Lefty Oracle Deck and Elfin Ally Oracle. It blends two awesome things – the Zodiac signs and goddesses!
What I love about this deck is that it helps me better understand and connect with each astrological sign, as well as various goddess energies. The cards are beautiful, fun to work with and are a wonderful addition to my oracle deck collection!
This deck would be great for those new to oracle cards, as well as seasoned oracle and Tarot readers. The cards are fairly easy to connect with (thanks to Kathy’s gorgeous artwork!) and read right out of the box and it comes with a handy booklet, as well as some helpful info on the inside of the box (see video above for details).
I can’t wait to spend a bit more time getting to know these goddesses and journalling with them ♥
The Cosma Visions Oracle is artist James R. Eads latest deck! He is also the creator of Light Visions and Prisma Visions Tarot and Green Glyphs Lenormand deck (all stunning, five star decks, in my opinion).
This deck was inspired by the spiritual journey we take between lives, which is a topic I’ve been fascinated by for most of my life (even when I was a weird kid).

First of all, I really love this deck – the cards feel luxurious and almost decadent with their lush colors and sumptuous images.
Beauty and high quality are what make this deck stand out from most of the decks I own and the gorgeous, sturdy box just adds to the enjoyment of these cards. I own three other decks by James and all of them are like this – high quality and super gorgeous.
These cards are thick and sturdy and have a matte finish – my fave! Edges are shiny dark blue/blackish, which is a nice departure from the typical gold.
A unique feature of this deck (and Jame’s other two Tarot decks) is how the minors, when lined up in order, form a continuous scene – I demonstrate this in my video above at 12:56.
Even though it’s called an Oracle deck, it follows the same structure of a Tarot deck but the major arcana and court cards have been renamed and re-imagined. Because of this, you might need to spend a bit of time getting to know this deck before you really hit the ground running with readings.
I suspect I will mostly use this deck for doing self readings and Tarot journalling, mainly because the images really beg to be contemplated (not quickly interpreted). This is a great deck to help you slow down and feel into the cards and really connect deeply with your intuition ♥
The Deck of Character is a fun, fresh, modern oracle designed not just for readings but for sparking conversations – with both your friends and your “higher self”!
I’ve been having tons of fun with these cards over the Summer and it’s amazing how a simple drawing can spark so many creative ideas and insights. I have yet to use this deck with friends, but I feel like even those who’ve never read a card before could read these – they are that easy and relatable!
Something I forgot to mention in this video is that I’ve been using this deck for creative writing and journalling and it’s amazing at sparking inspiration. Ideas for characters, plot lines, etc come pouring out of me when I have these cards at the ready.
Join me as I unbox The Shadowland Tarot by Monica Bodirsky!
This deck is full of witchy critters, delightful monsters and fascinating creatures making it the perfect tool for shadow work and self exploration. I am just getting into “shadow work” (which I explain briefly in the video) and so this deck arrived at just the right time.
I love all the sweet, quirky and creepy critters in this deck and the way the images invite deeper exploration and inquiry. The guidebook that comes with the deck is A+++ in my opinion – not only does it give excellent card descriptions, it also gives you questions to ask for each card (LOVE this!!!)
This Spring/Summer I intend to spend lots of time with The Shadowland Tarot and really get to know this deck – I will most likely be using it in a few of my upcoming weekly reading videos, so stay tuned 🙂
Join me as I give you a glimpse of the new Awakening edition of the Ember & Aura Tarot by Jamie Richardson!
You may remember I did an unboxing video of the first edition a few months ago. This new edition has slightly different card backs, the cardstock is more matte (and nicer) and has rose gold edging, plus an extra “awakening” card.
To sum it up, this is a wonderful Tarot deck for readers of all experience levels and I’ve had many insightful readings with it. It’s a deck I’ll be using for many years to come!
The older and more irritable I get, the more I have come to appreciate decks that have a simple art style – you know, something that leaves you lots of room to breathe and contemplate. The Spacious Tarotexcels at doing just that!
Join me as I go through The Spacious Tarot by Carrie Mallon and Annie Ruygt – showing you each card and then doing a two card reading at the very end (intended to be relevant to whomever is drawn to watch this video!)
I can really see myself using this deck in my professional Tarot readings. The cards feel safe and non-threatening without being soft and wimpy and the deck in general just feels good – in both a physical and energetic sense.
I looked at images of this deck online and thought that looks like a great deck! but when I saw the cards in person for the first time it was a totally different experience – I was really touched by how some of the Majors were depicted. The High Priestess is breathtaking and I love how The Fool makes you feel like you are right there, about to leap off a cliff!
What I like most about this deck is how refreshing it feels – no clutter, no annoying people, just beautiful energy, animals and Tarot symbols.
I’ll be using this deck for my next weekly reading, so stay tuned!
If you know me, you know I fucking LOVE cats! And I like happy stuff. I like feeling good and I like to do Tarot readings that leave me feeling uplifted. If you also like all of the above, you will love the Playful Heart Tarot!
Join me as I go through the Playful Heart Tarot by Kitten Chops – showing you each card and then doing a one card reading at the very end (intended to be relevant to whomever is drawn to watch this video!)
This is one of those decks that I’m going to save for personal use only (well, other than doing my weekly youtube readings!). I’ve been doing lots of journaling lately and this deck has really helped me in that process.
These cards are fun, cheerful and uplifting but are also surprisingly deep. This isn’t one of those fluff decks that make you smile but have no other purpose other than looking cute – oh no! This deck will help you root out your dark places and shine a light on them.
I think my favourite thing about this deck is how it helps you cultivate playfulness and joy in your day to day life, which is what I’m using it for right now!
I’ll be using this deck for my next weekly reading, so stay tuned!
