After reading the results of my Tarot survey (which is still open if you haven’t done it yet!), many of you indicated that you were interested in connecting with your Spirit Guides and Angels. So I designed a Tarot card spread to help you do just that!
When I did this spread myself, I got the three cards pictured below and at first I was totally confused…
To me, the Queen of Swords shows that my guides are helping me get clarity (represented by the sharp sword) while I experience an inner transformation (symbolized by the butterflies).
The Six of Swords confirms that I am going through a time of transition and that my guides are with me, helping me all the way.
However, it was the Two of Pentacles that made no sense at first. How on Earth does the Two of Pentacles help me connect with my Spirit Guides?
After really sitting with this card I noticed two things – the girl in the card is dancing and it is a Pentacles/Earth card. For the past 12 years I have enjoyed bellydancing and this was my way of grounding and feeling connected to the Earth and Spirit. But in the last year I haven’t been dancing as much. This was my guide’s way of telling me to get back dancing in order to feel a deeper connection to spirit.

Today I want to talk about the “missing cards” in a Tarot reading – the cards that are conspicuously absent.
For example, lets say you are doing the Celtic Cross Spread and you have some Pentacles, Swords, Cups and a Major Arcana card or two….but absolutely NO Wands. What does this mean?
Usually, if a reading is void of Wands it can mean there is a lack of passion. So if you were asking about a business idea, the above reading example might indicate that you’ve thought things through (Swords), made practical plans (Pentacles) and your heart is in it (Cups) but you don’t really want to do it – there is no real passion there.
An absence of Cups can mean this situation needs more love, emotion or feeling. No Swords show that more rational thought and clear communication is needed. Few or no Pentacles can indicate that your ideas are not grounded in reality and practicality.
Tarot Tip: The cards that are absent from a reading are just as important as the ones staring back at you.
A really cool thing you can do right now is go through your favorite Tarot deck (the one you most often use) and look at each card. You will notice right away the ones that almost never come up for you in a reading. They will jump right out at you!
Ask yourself if these “no show” cards represent something that’s missing from your life, or do they simply not relate to your situation right now? Sometimes, its the Tarot cards we want the most that never seem to show up for us!

The Two of Cups is Friday’s Tarot card and it brings a message of coming together, meeting the right people and enjoying peaceful relationships.
You may meet someone today who shares your interests and zest for life – not necessarily a romantic partner, but someone who is a kindred spirit nonetheless.
You may also find yourself starting a new project with a business partner or coming together with a friend for a common purpose. Good communication, agreements and positive feelings abound with this card!
If you are in a relationship you may find that today goes particularly well, as romantic feelings are enhanced at this time. If you are quarreling with your partner, try to find three things you love about your partner and focus on those for today…and notice how this changes things.

Thursday’s Tarot card is Ten of Pentacles (or Ten of Crystals in the Sirian Starseed Tarot deck). The message is this: wealth is here for you now – but do you believe it?
The woman in this card appears to have just discovered a valuable treasure or jewels, but she is somewhat guiltily looking over her shoulder as if to say is this really for me? (This is how I see this card, anyhow – perhaps you will see it very differently)
Sometimes prosperity and abundance comes rushing toward you, but if you don’t believe you deserve it you will reject it or just not see it. Abundance is a state of mind and if you do not believe it is possible or that you deserve it, you will never have it!
Here is a trick for manifesting financial prosperity that came to me when I looked at this card: believe your financial prosperity/abundance already exists and it is just a matter of you aligning with it. Based on your feelings, thoughts and actions, you align with a particular reality and then that reality is created. So ask yourself if your current feelings, thoughts and actions around money are aligned with your money goals/desires.
